Despite the unique challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past year, many community partners and schools are collaborating to support students and their families. What does it look like for us to build new relationships or strengthen existing ones to develop more equitable, sustainable partnerships? In this session we will share a framework for sustainability and identify applicable practices within relationship building, communication, documentation, partnership and program quality, and resource development. Participants will share strategies, assess their own partnerships, and take steps to draft a sustainability action plan.
This session is designed for people who are building, managing, or facilitating school-community partnerships, such as site directors/supervisors, program leadership, and school administrators or school partnership leads. We encourage you to attend, when possible, with a partner organization.
This workshop is being offered for no fee in partnership with School’s Out Washington as part of the King County Training System. It will be held in a virtual format via Zoom Meeting and will include opportunities for active engagement among participants and facilitators through large and small group discussions and activities.
